Twila was a farm girl at heart. She never wanted to leave the county or home that the family occupied for over 45 years. She assisted her entire life with the farm, by driving a truck at harvest, feeding the livestock, planting a garden and reaping the fruits of her labor. Many a winter did she nurse piglets in the house.
Her passions in life were her church and community, family and friends, and the many people she became acquainted with through her Home Interiors years.
She was the center of her family, and looked forward to holidays when the whole family could be together. No matter how many came, there was always enough food for more.
Many people will remember her outstanding cooking abilities from the many places she prepared meals and catered special occasions over the years.
She was always there for her friends and family with kind words, helping hands or a shoulder to cry on.
Twila was a devoted Christian who gave many many hours to the church through Vacation Bible School, decorating for the holidays, fundraisers and attending any event that might be church sponsored.
Her most fulfilling passion came through her Home Interiors family as it was based on the Christian faith also. She always had a verse or scripture to go along with her decor. Many homes throughout central Kansas have a "touch of Twila" on their walls.
She will be missed by her family, friends, and community.
