John Keeler - Barnard KS
11/1/1938 - 5/15/2019

Below are the memories of those who knew and loved John Keeler.

Joey Hopkins {5/16/19} -- I knew Johnny for several years. He always gave me a hard time, and I enjoyed it. I considered him a good friend. I will miss him greatly. My thoughts are with his family.

Jay Powell {5/16/19} -- My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Neil Dowlin {5/17/19} -- Thinking of memorable early years with John and his family. Bill and Charlotte Dowlin's son Neil. State College, Pennsylvania.

Judy Prater {5/17/19} -- Our thoughts and prayers are with your families. from Judy Prater and Janet Maring (daughters of Keith and Helen Keeler)

David Wild {5/17/19} -- Many fond memories of “Johnny” as we knew him. Always mischievous and playful with his younger cousins; he made our trips to the family farm fun. As a small boy it was John who taught me there was more than chicken legs on a platter of chicken (to the regret of older siblings who, until then, kept me pacified with just a leg). Can recall attending his wedding to Letha; hot day sitting next to Uncle Wilbur wearing paper on his face where he had nicked himself shaving…several times. Wilbur was a small boy’s wonder while the wedding disgusted me when they kissed. Special thanks to Johnny and Letha for their open door and maintaining the Union Valley Cemetery with its family heritage. (David; son of John & Patricia Wild. Milford, KS)

Merlin & Bonita Ney {5/17/19} -- Jay & Olivia, Our deepest sympathy and prayers to the Keeler family.
