Lleanna Ruth Andersen (Rhudy), 80, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010, in Reno, NV. She was born October 5, 1929, in Lincoln to Don and Cena Rhudy. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Dale Andersen; two sons, Jack (Linda), Andersen and Scott (Lou) Andersen; daughter, Terri Watters (Michael), of Atherton, CA; sister and brother-in-law Pam and Erik Rasmussen, of Salina, KS; six grandchildren, Garrett and Carly Andersen, Grant and Neil Watters, Ole Andersen and Siri Conlee; a great-granddaughter, Oryann Conlee; a sister, Pam Rasmussen (Erik), of Salina; and a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law, Larry and Rickie Andersen, of Caledonia, IL. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Rhudy. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be at 11:00AM Wednesday, April 14 at Lincoln Cemetery, with reception to follow at the Finch Theater Community Room. Memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern Nevada (www.northernnevada.wish.org) chosen because of Lleanna's love of children, in care of Hall Funeral Home, Lincoln. Lleanna grew up in Lincoln, KS, and married Dale Andersen in 1949. She devoted her time to her family and had a passion for creating works of art and preserving the family heritage. The family will treasure the history books she wrote, that include stories of family traditions, adventures and the family tree. In addition, she created storybook characters based on her grandchildren and wrote three children's stories. Over the years she created special cards and memory albums for her loved ones. Lleanna will be deeply missed and will remain in our hearts forever. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who adored and loved her family. » View what others have shared.
